Christina Shrestha is an Assistant Controller at Awani Capital, with more than 10 years of experience in fund accounting and operations. She oversees the firm’s accounting and operational framework, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and compliance with GAAP, while supporting the Compliance function.
Prior to joining Awani, Shrestha was a Vice President in the Fund Accounting team at RockCreek Group, where she managed accounting operations for a diverse portfolio of private equity and fund-of-funds vehicles. Her responsibilities included NAV review, audit coordination, valuation support, and compliance with GAAP and partnership agreements.
Previously, Shrestha served as a Senior Operations Associate at the University of Virginia Investment Management Company, overseeing monthly closes and day-to-day operations for the private equity portfolio within the endowment. Earlier, she worked as a Staff Accountant at Vox Media, Inc., focusing on payroll and treasury.
Shrestha is a Certified Public Accountant in Virginia and holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Regis University.
